Backstory

My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in the fall of 2008. It was caught early. Aggressive bilateral mastectomy was the choice. My concern was the lack of a cohesive focus to find a cure. I wanted a definitive course, I wanted strong leadership, I wanted to know the solution. So, I did what any normally crazy supportive co-survivor would do... enlisted for an ironman. Bacon

If you eat four (4) strips of bacon, you will need to wait longer then 45 minutes for complete digestion. Exercising, in this instance running, with only a 45 minute wait will induce significant oral out-gassing thirty (30) minutes into your exercise.

Got the 60 minutes of running completed at a 138 heart rate. The remaining walking at a much reduced rate.

Unfortunately what will be referred to as the bacon incident garnered most of my attention during this run. That and a little matchbox 20.
