Backstory

My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in the fall of 2008. It was caught early. Aggressive bilateral mastectomy was the choice. My concern was the lack of a cohesive focus to find a cure. I wanted a definitive course, I wanted strong leadership, I wanted to know the solution. So, I did what any normally crazy supportive co-survivor would do... enlisted for an ironman. Race for the Cure

The race for the cure went well. The participants were many. The crowd was supportive. The family made the trip and got through the event. All in all, a fun morning. It would be great to find a way to bring it over to Iowa City.

I must say that my workouts are infrequent and not as focused as they need to be. Last workout was a 40min run @ 136HR average. That's it. Work has been demanding, but I have told myself that would not be an excuse. Time to push thru, this week will see renewed motiviation.

I had a chance to catch up on the graphics with the ribbon design. Looked really good. Hopefully the next step will be in a few weeks.

I want to thank everyone for their support. Lesly has a procedure tomorrow morning with the results in a week. Should be routine and uneventful. Those are the best kind.
