Backstory

My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in the fall of 2008. It was caught early. Aggressive bilateral mastectomy was the choice. My concern was the lack of a cohesive focus to find a cure. I wanted a definitive course, I wanted strong leadership, I wanted to know the solution. So, I did what any normally crazy supportive co-survivor would do... enlisted for an ironman. Getting back on the wagon

Missed about four (4) days worth of workouts last week and trying to get back on the wagon. Too much travel, water issues around the house, the usual interruptions. Had a chance to get out on a 2 hour bike on Saturday, then a 1hr45min run on Sunday, and a 1hr swim on Monday, followed by a 1 hour bike on Tuesday (low resistance, high rev). Might be tough tonight, but I would like to get in a run or swim.

Overall feel good. Half ironman is scheduled for August 16th. A lot will be revealed.
