Breakthru on the swim tonite. 1.25 mile swim. First time to pass the 1 mile barrier. And not a moment too soon with the 1.2 mile swim upcoming August 16th for the half-ironman (www.pigmantri.com). Mixed stroke, but still made the distance, and in the end starting finding the rhythm that could have kept me going. Looking forward to the next swim.
Slight disruption in the workout routine due to water issues on the home front... but those should be behind us shortly.
Slight set-back on the shirt design, but reworking to meet the necessary standards. Not much longer.

Backstory
My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in the fall of 2008. It was caught early. Aggressive bilateral mastectomy was the choice. My concern was the lack of a cohesive focus to find a cure. I wanted a definitive course, I wanted strong leadership, I wanted to know the solution. So, I did what any normally crazy supportive co-survivor would do... enlisted for an ironman.
